(CABA) El cantautor Alberto Cortez murió a los 79 años. Se encontraba internado en Madrid desde hacía dos semanas.
Cortez había sufrido una hemorragia gástrica y el cuadro empeoró el miércoles por la noche. Fuentes cercanas a la familia confirmaron su muerte.

Cantautor y poeta, fue autor de canciones populares como En un rincón del alma, Mi árbol y Cuando un amigo se va, quizás su canción más conocida.
Cortez obtuvo reconocimiento internacional de joven y colaboró con artistas como el también cantautor y poeta Facundo Cabral. Con él grabó cuatro discos y realizó giras por América Latina.
En 2007 fue declarado Personalidad Destacada de la Cultura por la Legislatura de la Ciudad. NR
