El viernes 26 de abril, con motivo del 106 Aniversario del Hospital “Dr. Carlos G. Durand” se realizó un acto en el Aula Mayor de la Asociación de Profesionales Universitarios, ubicado en el Pabellón Villanueva.
El evento comenzó con las palabras de las autoridades. El Dr. Horacio Bolla, director del hospital se refirió a la figura del Dr. Carlos Durand. Enunció luego algunos de los logros del último año, tales como las mejoras edilicias en el área quirúrgica, el nuevo espacio para anatomía patológica, las reformas en el Pabellón Romano, entre otras. También mencionó las necesidades que tiene la institución, entre ellas, los arreglos para la fachada, la unificación de los cinco laboratorios con los que cuenta el hospital, la necesidad de contar con nuevos equipos tecnológicos, entre otros. Por último se refirió al “compromiso, valentía y generosidad de todos para lograr el hospital que queremos”.
Asistió al acto la Ministra de Salud de la Ciudad, Dra. Ana María Bou Pérez, quien al hacer uso de la palabra se refirió al Sistema de Salud Pública igualitario y equitativo.
A continuación se entregaron medallas y diplomas a Residentes y Concurrentes que finalizan este año su formación; al Presidente de las LIV Jornadas de Salud; a los premiados por investigaciones y trabajos científicos , hubo también diplomas para quienes cumplieron 25 años en el hospital y medallas a quienes se jubilaron en el último año. Todos los galardonados fueron aplaudidos por sus colegas, familiares y amigos que colmaron las instalaciones, dando un importante marco a la celebración.
Durante el acto se recordó a la Dra. Alicia Fernández Alonso, quien fuera directora del hospital, fallecida recientemente.
El festejo culminó con un ágape ofrecido por la APUHD (Asociación Profesionales Universitarios del Hospital Durand) en un excelente clima de amistad y camaradería.
