Son más de 150.000 metros cuadrados que serán puestos en valor y con cuya venta se financiarán las obras del Paseo del Bajo.
A través del decreto 87/2019 y una decisión administrativa de la Agencia de Administración de Bienes del Estado (AABE) publicados en el Boletín Oficial, el Ejecutivo puso a disposición del gobierno porteño los 12 inmuebles, que se encontraban abandonados o subutilizados desde hacía décadas.

La idea, explicaron desde la AABE, es “ponerlos en valor, mejorando el entorno y, a su vez, poder financiar obras que son tan necesarias para todos los argentinos”. En esta línea, destacaron que de la venta de estos nuevos terrenos se reunirán fondos para costear el Paseo del Bajo.
Uno de los espacios cedidos es el Mercado de Hacienda, donde el gobierno porteño emprenderá un plan de urbanización. En el caso de Retiro, indicaron, la medida servirá como parte del plan de urbanización del barrio 31. “La Ciudad tendrá la posibilidad de regularizar dominialmente en favor de quienes viven en el barrio”, dijeron.
El Paseo del Bajo es un corredor vial de 7,1 kilómetros que conectará las autopistas Illia y Buenos Aires-La Plata, con 4 carriles exclusivos para camiones y micros de larga distancia y 8 para vehículos particulares, lo que permitirá circular más rápido hasta los accesos directos al puerto y a la Terminal de Retiro, mejorar la fluidez del tránsito, reordenar y aumentar la seguridad vial en toda la zona.
