(CABA) En Internet circula un virus para robar datos de las cuentas de Netflix. La manera en que lo hacen es a través de correos falsos que utilizan la imagen de la plataforma para robar las credenciales de acceso.
Netflix cuenta con más de 140 millones de usuarios en todo el mundo y sigue siendo el foco de los criminales online. Esta vez, la compañía de seguridad ESET alertó sobre una nueva campaña que circula por Internet.

A través de la difusión de un correo electrónico falso, en el cual se utilizan los logos de Netflix, engañan a los usuarios alertando sobre una supuesta falla con las cuentas por lo que la cuenta queda bloqueada y hay que acceder a un link para recuperarla. Por eso, es necesario que el usuario ingrese el correo y contraseña de la suscripción.
Según ESET, una vez que se clickea en “actualizar”, se ingresa a un dominio que hace referencia a un supuesto equipo de Netflix, pero en realidad es un servidor que corresponde a un servicio de hosting gratuito de Emiratos Árabes.
A través de un comunicado, Netflix aclaró: “Tomamos la seguridad de nuestros miembros muy en serio y tomamos varias medidas proactivas para detectar actividad fraudulenta para mantener el servicio de Netflix y las cuentas de nuestros miembros seguras”.
