Fallos del arquero Joaquín Pucheta le dieron la ventaja al dueño de casa, que se adelantó a través de Ezequiel D’Angelo y Lucas Farías. Sin embargo, cuando promediaba un cuarto de hora del complemento fue Cristian Sánchez el que acortó el marcador y sentenció el 2-1 definitivo.
La dupla integrada por Pablo Solchaga y Gustavo Bartelt tomó el timón tras la salida de Pablo De Muner y enderezó el barco después de una serie de resultados adversos. Paradójicamente en la última fecha del campeonato regular, All Boys consiguió un empate en cancha de San Telmo y se aseguró el último cupo del Reducido de la B Metro.
En las semifinales se impuso 3-2 en el global ante Acassuso y en Floresta triunfó 3-1 frente al Candombero para sacar una diferencia vital en la final.
Con 18 conquistas, Gabriel Tellas (autor del primer tanto de la final de ida) fue goleador de All Boys en esta temporada.
Luego del descenso del año anterior, el albinegro se da el gran gusto de volver a la segunda categoría del fútbol argentino, que la temproada que viene contará con muchos equipos de gran historia en la divisional: Tigre, Belgrano de Córdoba, San Martín de Tucumán, Atlanta, Estudiantes de Caseros, Nueva Chicago, Almagro, Platense, Temperley, Deportivo Morón, Ferro, Quilmes, Atlético Rafaela, Chacarita, Instituto y Gimnasia de Jujuy, entre otros.
