El sábado 22 de junio, desde las 13 y hasta las 19 hs, Av. La Plata vivió una verdadera fiesta cultural. Fecoba (Federación de Comercio e Industria de Buenos Aires) junto a la Asociación Amigos de Av. La Plata, organizaron el evento “Cultura Urbana en los Barrios”.
La importante avenida, que atraviesa cinco barrios porteños, fue cortada al tránsito entre Rivadavia y Rosario. Allí se desarrollaron múltiples eventos. Para dar comienzo, el padre Alberto de la Parroquia Santa María, fue invitado para bendecir a los presentes. Pasadas las 14, comenzaron las diferentes actividades, entre ellas, un Ajedrez Gigante y partidas simultáneas para grandes y chicos. Mientras tanto, en otro sector, tuvo lugar un cuadrangular de Fútbol Femenino, donde participaron los clubes Ferro Carril Oeste, San Lorenzo, Las Cocoteras y Norita Futbol Club.
La Biblioteca Juan B.Justo (Av.La Plata 85) facilitó sus instalaciones para que se presentaran las autoridades de la Junta Central de Estudios Históricos de Buenos Aires, junto a integrantes de las Juntas de Caballito, Almagro y Boedo, quienes ofrecieron valiosas disertaciones sobre la historia y el patrimonio de sus barrios.
Paralelamente, en la vereda de Av. La Plata 163 se realizó un desfile de modas que cautivó la atenta mirada del público.
Mientras tanto en el escenario central y con la conducción de Mabel Cipollini, representando la Secretaría de Cultura de Fecoba, se presentaron diferentes números artísticos de primer nivel, entre ellos la banda de jazz Hot Club de Boedo, el Coro Kennedy, Mariquita Gallegos, el músico brisileño Lucas Soledade, los grupos folklóricos “Lazos del Corazón” y “Los de Ahora”, tango con Lali Martínez y el ballet de la Asociación Calabresa, entre otros.
Durante el evento, Lilian Fadel, presidenta de la Asociación Amigos de Av. la Plata, entregó diplomas de reconocimiento a los participantes. También se distinguió al comercio más antiguo de la zona “La Casa de los Mil Envases” y a los medios barriales “Periódico ABC” y “Revista Horizonte”.
Fue una estupenda fiesta familiar y cultural, con una increíble oferta de espectáculos y actividades, destinadas a los vecinos y comerciantes bajo el lema “la cultura es transversal al comercio, la industria, los servicios y el turismo”.
