Al darse el alta, las empresas no podrán ofrecer promociones, servicios y productos por teléfono a los números que integren la nómina, ya sea por mensaje de texto o en forma de llamado.

El trámite de inscripción y baja del registro es gratuito y sencillo. El sistema requiere insertar el número fijo o celular a inscribir, el código de área, DNI, apellido, nombre, y un correo electrónico del usuario. Una vez realizada la confirmación, las empresas tienen hasta 30 días para dejar de llamar a los usuarios registrados en “No Llame”. La vigencia del derecho tiene una duración de dos años, y una vez vencido ese plazo el usuario puede volver a registrar su número. La baja solo puede ser solicitada por el titular o usuario en cualquier momento y tendrá efectos inmediatos.
En caso de incumplimiento, los usuarios pueden realizar la denuncia ante la Dirección Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales, que iniciará las actuaciones administrativas ante las presuntas infracciones y aplicará las sanciones correspondientes, previstas en la Ley 25.326 de Protección de Datos Personales.

Cabe destacar que, conforme el artículo 8 de la ley 26.951, quedan exceptuadas del bloqueo:
a) Las campañas de bien público, tal como lo dispone la ley 25.326;

c) Las campañas electorales establecidas por ley 19.945, modificatorias y concordantes;
d) Las llamadas de quienes tienen una relación contractual vigente, siempre que se refieran al objeto estricto del vínculo y sean realizadas en forma y horario razonables y de acuerdo a la reglamentación; y
e) Las llamadas de quienes hayan sido expresamente permitidos por el titular o usuario autorizado de los servicios de telefonía en cualquiera de sus modalidades, inscriptos en el Registro Nacional No Llame. NR
