Google Maps incorporará la información, en tiempo real, de la circulación de 18 líneas de colectivos en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. La opción está disponible para la versión de escritorio y móvil (iOS y Android).
Con esta nueva función, los usuarios podrán saber con precisión el horario de salida y llegada de las unidades, así como recibir alertas sobre imprevistos que puedan generar demoras, retrasos, cancelaciones o cambios de recorrido.

Esto es posible gracias a la información que proporciona la Secretaría de Transporte de la Ciudad, y que se integra dentro del sistema de arribo predictivo, una plataforma que abastece de datos no solo a Google Maps sino también a BA Cómo Llego y Moovit.
Eventualmente, esta información, que el Gobierno pone a disposición de manera gratuita, podría llegar a otros servicios.
A su vez, a futuro se planea instalar pantallas en las paradas con toda esta información, actualizada en tiempo real.
En un principio, el servicio funcionará en Google Maps para las siguientes líneas de colectivo, con sus respectivos ramales: 7, 10, 23, 26, 33, 42, 44, 45, 50, 53, 70, 76, 101, 135, 148, 153, 159 y 166.

Hacia finales del primer semestre de 2019 se incorporarán al sistema los 10 mil colectivos de las 137 líneas nacionales que circulan por la Ciudad.
Ya para fin de año está contemplado sumar las 9 mil unidades de líneas municipales y provinciales. Esta herramienta se suma a los datos estadísticos que hay de las líneas de subte A, B, D y E, así como a los trenes que atraviesan la Ciudad.
