Solo se jugaron 12 minutos del partido entre Talleres de Remedios de Escalada y Deportivo Español por la fecha 20 del torneo de la Primera B Metropolitana. Incidentes entre barras y la policía, y falta de iluminación ocasionaron que Germán Bermúdez, árbitro designado, diera por suspendido el encuentro.
Fuera del estadio empezaron a escucharse disparos de balas de goma. El enfrentamiento entre barras y efectivos de seguridad se dio en la intersección de la calle Timote con la avenida Rosales. Los hechos violentos se desataron cuando hinchas del local intentaron entrar por la fuerza a la cancha.
Sin embargo, surgieron ciertas suspicacias alrededor de la decisión a partir del oficio alternativo del referí, que también es músico. Es que el partido, de haberse desarrollado con normalidad, hubiese finalizado cerca de las 21.30, misma hora en la que comenzaba su show “Tributo a Serrat”, en el barrio de Caballito, adonde debía trasladarse desde Remedios de Escalada.
“No tiene nada que ver una cosa con la otra”, le dijo Bermúdez a Infobae y ratificó la decisión de suspender el encuentro entre Talleres (RE) y Deportivo Español.
“Rolando Villalba, jefe del operativo, estaba prestando servicio fuera del estadio, no estaba garantizada la seguridad”, alegó el juez.
Además el árbitro argumentó que había “fallas en el generador” por lo que la falta de iluminación también fue un motivo para que no se siguiera jugando el partido.
Al ser consultado sobre el show al cual no hubiese llegado a tiempo si no se suspendía el encuentro, Bermúdez declaró que “es habitual” que coincidan horarios de partidos con recitales programados, y que en esos casos “se retrasa el espectáculo o se pospone para otro día”.
Germán Bermúdez, además de cantante, se recibió de Locutor Nacional hace 23 años y de Árbitro de AFA hace 21. Además de dedicarle su vida al fútbol suele hacer shows de tributo a Joan Manuel Serrat.
