“Duele, claro que duele”
Alguien dijo “la imagen duele…” Y claro que duele.
Recuerdo que en el año 1970, iba con mis hermanos al parque los domingos a la mañana. Por aquel entonces la feria funcionaba solo los días domingos. No había puestos, eramos solamente chicos. Algunos, los más grandes, ibamos solos, mientras que a los más pequeños los acompañaban sus papás. Era glorioso cambiar “La zorra y el cuervo”, “La Pequeña Lulú”, “Periquita”, “Archie”, “Batman”, “Superman”, los álbumes de “Dartagnan”, “Intervalo”, “El Tony”, y tanta literatura infantil que me sumergió en el maravilloso mundo de la lectura y que devoraba durante la semana para ir nuevamente el domingo siguiente a volver a cambiarlas por nuevos ejemplares.
Pero, de a poco, el espacio que tanto ansiaba encontrar todos los domingos, fue desapareciendo…
¡Comenzaron a instalarse los puestos! Nuestro espacio, el de los chicos se fue achicando, nos iban hechando de a poco. A los libreros no les gustaba que fueramos los chicos a cambiar revistas, su negocio era venderlas.
Entonces comenzaron a instalarse en forma permanente con puestos fijos. En poco tiempo desapareció el espacio de los chicos los días domingos, y se instalaron los puesteros de lunes a lunes.
Ellos le sacaron un espacio al parque, con instalaciones fijas, ocuparon un espacio que era de todos para hacer su negocio y cambiaron el paisaje del lugar. ¡Ocuparon el parque! Y nadie dijo nada.
Y dolió, claro que dolió.
La diferencia es que no existían redes sociales, nadie se ocupó del tema y no fue noticia.
Ojalá alguien hubiera defendido en aquel entonces el espacio del Parque Rivadavia que nos fue arrebatado para instalar un comercio que no hizo más que afear el lugar y sacar muchos metros de parque, y sacar a los chicos.
Claro, pasaron los años, y con la feria ya instalada, esta se convirtió en parte del barrio y de su patrimonio. Comenzó a cumplir una función social, muchos papás iban a proveerse de los libros de textos para el colegio de sus hijos. Y aún quienes fuimos hechados en algún momento de “nuestra feria” fuimos en busca de algún libro, o más tarde, fuimos en busca de algún CD trucho.
Hoy vemos como los actuales feriantes son trasladados a la avenida Rivadavia. A mi no me dieron esa oportunidad. Tienen además puestos por los que no pagaron. Me pregunto si habrá algún comercio, local o puesto, de este o de cualquier otro rubro que no pague un alquiler o que les regalen su lugar de trabajo…
Evidentemente, todo es según el cristal con que se mire… yo todavía extraño mis domingos a la mañana en la Feria del Parque Rivadavia. Y duele, claro que duele.
