En el marco de la XIII Feria del Libro de Historia de Buenos Aires, organizada por la Junta Central de Estudios Históricos, fue convocada la Asociación Metropolitana de Editores Periodísticos (AMEP). En este contexto, Mario Bruno, Marina Bussio y Hernán Vizzari expusieron sobre los medios vecinales, también llamados de cercanía y su importante rol en la actualidad.
Durante la charla se destacó la relevancia de las publicaciones, tanto gráficas, como digitales, para contribuir con la difusión y preservación de la historia y el patrimonio de cada barrio. Un lugar destacado mereció la descripción del sector que agrupa a los medios zonales, su crecimiento y la próxima publicación de un periódico que ofrezca a los vecinos noticias de los 48 barrios porteños.
Finalmente, se acordó con la Profesora Nelly Pareja, presidente de la Junta Central de Estudios Históricos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, abordar tareas en conjunto, en beneficio de ambas instituciones, de los medios barriales y de la difusión de las actividades relacionadas con la historia de la Ciudad.
