(CABA) Jóvenes de todo el país denunciaron que el Ministerio de Educación de la Nación congeló pedidos de becas del Programa de Respaldo para Estudiantes Argentinos (PROG.R.ES.AR.). Los estudiantes se inscribieron en el mes de marzo y al día de hoy se encuentran “en evaluación”, sin ninguna respuesta por parte de la cartera que conduce Alejandro Finocchiaro. Quienes sí recibieron la beca, advierten que los montos están congelados desde el año pasado y que no pueden hacer frente a los aumentos de más del 40% en transporte.

Desde la Federación Universitaria de Buenos Aires (FUBA) y la Federación Universitaria de La Plata, se relevaron 1011 casos de estudiantes que aplicaron a la beca y reportaron dificultades. En la mayoría de los casos no obtuvieron respuesta; en otros fueron rechazados por no cumplir requisitos como el mínimo de materias aprobadas cuando sí las aprobaron.
Además, los jóvenes denuncian que el Ministerio de Educación no solo redujo el periodo de inscripción al mes de marzo -antes duraba todo el año- sino que demoraron tanto en la asignación que el cuatrimestre ya está por finalizar.

Frente a esta situación, representantes estudiantiles presentaron un reclamo al Ministro Finocchiaro, en el que afirman que «aún siendo adjudicadas (las becas) en su totalidad durante el corriente mes de junio, los estudiantes ya afrontaron -o no- la mayor parte de los gastos de su cursada: material bibliográfico, transporte, viandas, insumos técnicos, etc. Dicho con toda brutalidad: aquellos estudiantes que precisan la beca PROGRESAR para solventar sus estudios, ya compraron o dejaron de comprar los apuntes, ya viajaron o dejaron de viajar hasta sus lugares de estudio”.
Por otro lado, también plantean que, al demorarse la adjudicación de la beca, no pueden percibir la Tarifa Social en transporte del 55% para llegar a sus lugares de estudio. NR
