La escuela N° 20 Rosario Vera Peñaloza del barrio porteño de Almagro -a la que asisten más de 1900 alumnos de primaria, jardín de infantes y el Centro de Educación no formal que funciona por las noches- amaneció hoy con un cartel pegado en la puerta sobre una cartulina que notifica a todos los padres que las clases están suspendidas hasta nuevo aviso por la presencia de roedores.
El edificio, ubicado en Pringles 1165, está sin clases gracias a que el artículo 51, inciso 4 del Reglamento Escolar de las Escuelas de la CABA, permite que los directivos dicten interrupción de las clases por razones sanitarias y de seguridad.
El problema viene de hace años, porque, aseguran los integrantes de toda la comunidad educativa, la presencia de ratas en la zona es “histórica”. Pero la situación empeoró cuando al lado de la escuela, en Rocamora y Pringles, comenzaron las tareas de remoción de tierra en un terreno que pertenece al Automóvil Club Argentino y empezaron los trabajos en dos obras en construcción en la misma manzana.
En los últimos meses aparecieron ratas por todas partes: vivas, muertas, atrapadas en trampas y en lugares tan riesgosos como el comedor donde almuerzan los alumnos o dentro del horno donde se preparaban las comidas. En ese comedor, incluso, que estuvo clausurado por más de un mes el año pasado, la empresa que se encarga de su desratización dejó trampas para roedores a fin de año y luego de tres meses seguían ahí mismo con las ratas muertas. A pesar de varios intentos de desratización en el verano, las clases empezaron y los desechos de roedores en distintas partes del edificio dan la sensación de que el problema no está resuelto.
Un comunicado debajo del cartel en la puerta de “la Rosarito” indicaba esto mismo. Que “frente a la situación de malestar, inseguridad y preocupación por la presencia diaria de excremento de roedores por todos los ambientes del edificio, y a pesar de todas las intervenciones y gestiones de los equipos directivos de inicial y primario”, las autoridades no podían confirmar la seguridad del lugar.
Los padres y otros miembros de la cooperadora, que apoyaron a las autoridades del colegio, apuntaron contra el Ministerio de Ambiente y Espacio Público porteño y pidieron que el Gobierno de la Ciudad tome cartas en el asunto.
De esta manera, lograron que la directora Nora Reymundo dicte la suspensión y que, en el día de hoy, a pedido de la Subsecretaría de Infraestructura del Ministerio de Educación, personal especializado del Instituto Pasteur visite las instalaciones y realice un informe sobre su situación. También se instalaron nuevas trampas por recomendación del instituto de zoonosis porteño.
El Ministerio de Ambiente y Espacio Público porteño también informó que se hicieron operativos de desratización y desinsectación “en todas todas las obras de los alrededores”. Este miércoles al mediodía los padres convocan a un ruidazo para exigir la inspección profunda de las instalaciones y medidas que garanticen las condiciones básicas de salubridad e higiene.
