Este miércoles 23 de enero a las 20,30 hs, en el anfiteatro “Eva Perón” del Parque Centenario, tendrá lugar la inauguración del Festival Internacional de Buenos Aires 2019 con la presentación de The New Colossus, obra dirigida por Tim Robbins, e interpretada por The Actors’ Gang, la compañía que el ganador de un Oscar por Río Místico fundó en 1981 en Los Ángeles, y hoy cuenta con más de 200 producciones que han recorrido el mundo.

El ganador del Oscar presentará su creación “The New Colossus” el 23 de enero, a las 20.30. Hasta el 3 de febrero habrá 220 espectáculos, nacionales e internacionales, con más de 2.000 artistas en 59 sedes.
El Festival Internacional de Buenos Aires (FIBA) se muda al verano. La 12ª edición abrirá el 23 de enero, a las 20.30, a cielo abierto en el Auditorio del Parque Centenario con un lujo: The New Colossus, la obra creada y dirigida por Tim Robbins.
Ganador del Oscar al mejor actor reparto en 2003 por su actuación en Río Místico (dirigida por Clint Eastwood), Robbins además de actor, director y guionista es también un reconocido activista contra las políticas belicistas, junto a su amigo Sean Penn y su pareja durante 23 años, Susan Sarandon.
Precisamente The New Colossus cuenta las historias reales de 11 personas que existen gracias a las luchas constantes de sus familias para sobrevivir, buscando la seguridad y la libertad durante más de 300 años.
A través de una gran cantidad de propuestas escénicas los barrios de Buenos Aires se verán invadidos por una renovada edición que sale a la calle, a través de site specifics en diferentes escenarios no convencionales en vía pública, casas y locales de vecinos, terrazas y espacios verdes entre otros.
