El sábado 8 de junio, “Horizonte La Revista de Caballito” junto al “Periódico ABC”, los dos medios barriales de Caballito, festejaron el Día del Periodista. En el evento se celebraron también los 25 y 18 años de ambas publicaciones. El encuentro tuvo lugar en el Café Notable “El Viejo Buzón” donde se reunieron amigos, colaboradores, vecinos, lectores y representantes de diferentes organizaciones barriales.
La ocasión fue propicia para entregar un reconocimiento a Federico Wiemeyer, periodista de TN y Canal 13, vecino de Caballito. Al recibir la medalla y el diploma, Federico manifestó su satisfacción al ser reconocido por su barrio.
Por el Periódico ABC estuvo presente su director, Arnaldo Goenaga, y por “Horizonte”, su directora, Marina Bussio. La reunión, que convocó a más de 50 personas, se convirtió en una síntesis del barrio de Caballito, ya que alrededor de la larga mesa se encontraron representantes de diferentes asociaciones e instituciones vecinales, entre ellas, integrantes de la Red de Cultura, de la Cofradía de Caballito, de la Junta de Estudios Históricos del Caballito, la Asociación Amigos del Tranvía, Asociación Vecinal General Alvear, Centro Cultural Sureda, Asociación Amigos de Av. La Plata, Unión Vecinal Placita Crisólogo Larralde, Asociación Caballito Puede, el Museo Luis Perlotti, Dirección General de la Mujer, exalumnos de la Escuela Normal N°4, Rotary Club Caballito, Rotary Club La Veleta de Caballito, La Mesa de los Jueves y AMEP (Asociación Metropolitana de Editores Periodísticos). También asistieron vecinos, emprendedores, periodistas colegas y lectores de ambos medios.
Marina Bussio se refirió a su compromiso con los vecinos, con las instituciones del barrio, a su vocación por el trabajo barrial. Hizo referencia a su trayectoria que comenzó en el año 1980, colaborando con la revista “Informe Caballito”, dirigida por Daniel Nalé Roxlo y, desde entonces, ininterrumpidamente trabajó en diversos ámbitos, siempre relacionados con el barrio.
Por su parte, Arnaldo Goenaga hizo alusión a los 18 años de trayectoria y a la importancia de los medios barriales, su contenido y la llegada a los vecinos.
Luego de las palabras y de casi tres horas de charlas informales, anécdotas y felicitaciones, el encuentro llegó a su fin, con el tradicional canto del “Feliz Cumpleaños” y ambos editores soplaron las velitas de una enorme torta.
Los directores de ABC y Horizonte, manifestaron su satisfacción sabiendo que cuentan con el apoyo y afecto de amigos, instituciones y vecinos que valoran el esfuerzo y la pasión de la prensa barrial.
