Hace dos años, entrevistábamos a Matías Tripodi, coreógrafo y bailarín caballitense en París. En esa oportunidad se refirió a los sueños y proyectos en los que estaba trabajando.
Hoy, con entradas agotadas y dirigiendo un cuerpo de 16 bailarines, junto a otros argentinos, concretó el sueño de subir a escena la ópera de Piazzolla y Ferrer “María de Buenos Aires”.
La pieza cuenta con coreografía de Matías Trípodi, dirección orquestal de Nicolás Agullo y el violín solista de Federico Sanz, los tres, argentinos.
Compuesta en 1967 con texto de Horacio Ferrer, María de Buenos Aires es la única ópera de Astor Piazzolla. Inspirada de una leyenda urbana de principios del siglo XX, cuenta la historia de María, una muchacha que trabaja en una fábrica y que, como una alegoría del tango, se convierte en una exitosa cantante de los cabarets de la ciudad. Muestra su ascenso a la gloria y luego su decadencia y su muerte, encarnada en el bandoneón. El espíritu de María deambula en las calles de la ciudad como una reencarnación del tango en la piel de los bailarines. La ópera termina con la reaparición de María dando a luz a un niño que simboliza el renacimiento del tango.
El destino hizo que Matías Tripodi, exalumno del Colegio Dámaso Centeno, cambiara su Caballito natal por el barrio de Montmatre en París, sin embargo nunca dejó su pasión: el tango y hoy se ha convertido en un excelente embajador que triunfa en varios escenarios de Europa.
