El 80% de los vecinos consultados estuvo a favor de la medida sobre la prohibición de fumar en la zona de niños en los parques. La pregunta que se publicó en distintos canales de comunicación del Gobierno porteño, “¿Estás de acuerdo con que se prohíba fumar en las áreas de juegos infantiles de plazas y parques?”, consiguió una adhesión mayoritaria . Este resultado acompañará el proyecto de ley que tratará la Legislatura en marzo.
Esta consulta surgió con el objetivo de mejorar y actualizar las normas de convivencia en los espacios públicos y acompañar a los programas asociados a la disminución de afecciones respiratorias y prevención del tabaquismo.
En total se obtuvieron 827.595 votos, y se distribuyeron de la siguiente forma: 660.448 (80% estoy de acuerdo) y 167.147 (20% no estoy de acuerdo).
En la Ciudad existen 376 patios de juegos infantiles. Aunque estos espacios son fácilmente diferenciables en función de su uso, no están separados físicamente de los espacios verdes del que forman parte. En consecuencia, los menores de edad que utilizan el mobiliario lúdico están expuestos a recibir las emisiones de humo que generan los fumadores.
El resultado de esta votación acompañará el proyecto de ley a tratarse en marzo de este año. Posteriormente, si el proyecto de ley es aprobado en la Legislatura porteña, se implementarán acciones de comunicación en los espacios públicos para señalizar las zonas libres de humo.
