(CABA) El presidente Mauricio Macri encabezó el acto de inauguración del Paseo del Bajo junto al jefe de Gobierno de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, y la gobernadora de la provincia de Buenos Aires, María Eugenia Vidal.
El jefe de Estado destacó la importancia de la obra que «cambiará el funcionamiento de la ciudad para siempre» y en una crítica directa al kirchnerismo, señaló: «Terminamos con el dinero de obras que acababa en bolsos por el aire. Este cemento no es relato, es real».

Fueron 28 meses los que llevaron las obras que según prometieron desde el Gobierno de la Ciudad harán que los vecinos ahorren hasta 37 minutos de viaje en su ingreso a la Capital Federal, una zona -hasta ahora- siempre conflictiva en materia de congestionamientos.
Está también presente en la inauguración el ministro de Transporte de la Nación, Guillermo Dietrich, que el domingo recorrió junto al propio presidente Macri el Paseo del Bajo, donde se realizó un desfile de autos antiguos en la previa a la inauguración.
El Paseo del Bajo es un corredor vial de 7,1 kilómetros que desde este lunes conecta las autopistas Illia y Buenos Aires-La Plata con carriles exclusivos para el tránsito pesado y accesos rápidos y directos a la zona del puerto de Buenos Aires y a la Terminal de Retiro.
Desde el gobierno de la Ciudad sostienen que la megaobra mejorará la fluidez del tránsito de autos, colectivos, camiones y que aumentará la seguridad vial en toda esa zona del centro porteño, agilizando la conectividad vehicular entre el sur y el norte del conurbano bonaerense.

Desde la Ciudad sostienen que el trayecto, a un camión en un día hábil le llevaba 45 minutos, desde ahora podría hacerse tan solo en 10.

Es una semana histórica, que va a marcar un antes y un después para la vida de miles de personas», expresó el mandatario el fin de semana en un texto publicado en la agencia de noticias Télam y titulado «Hoy hay una nueva generación de argentinos que va a decir que nunca vio una obra parada».
El Paseo del Bajo logrará separar el tránsito de los camiones y micros de larga distancia respecto al de los autos particulares. En la mayor parte de la obra, los vehículos pesados transitarán por la nueva autopista subterránea, mientras que los coches lo harán en las calles de la superficie.
La obra beneficia a más de 134.000 pasajeros diarios: 15.326 conductores de camiones; 28.245 pasajeros de micros de larga distancia y 91.070 vecinos que usan autos particulares. NR
