(CABA) El gigante japonés Hitachi decidió cerrar sus oficinas en la Argentina tras más de 60 años, aunque continuará con las operaciones en la región a través de su sede en Brasil.
Según informó El Cronista, el holding japonés disolverá y liquidará Hitachi South América Argentina SA, la sociedad que había formado en el país para expandir sus productos tecnológicos y cuyo centro principal se encuentra en la calle Arenales al 1600, en Recoleta.
Líder en el mercado de TV, aires acondicionados y electrodomésticos, la marca había comenzado sus actividades en el país en 1954, a fin de suministrar bombas para usinas hidroeléctricas. Su crecimiento fue tal, que desde 1970 tiene un acuerdo de cooperación tecnológica con Radio Victoria Fueguina para la fabricación y comercialización de productos de electrónica de consumo y electrodomésticos en el territorio argentino.

Por ese entonces, la compañía también se hizo conocida por sus pegadizas publicidades. “Hitachi, qué bien se te ve”, rezaba el hit que la firma japonesa había impreso en sus comerciales en los años 80 y 90.
Si bien no fue confirmada la fecha de cierre, se estima que será en las próximas semanas. De todos modos, trascendió que su salida no implicará dejar de vender sus productos en el país. Sólo que la central estará emplazada en Brasil, que abriga desde 2014 a la matriz regional para América del Sur. Además, en el país vecino se inauguró una de sus más recientes plantas de investigación y desarrollo. NR
