(CABA) La aparición de un alacrán en un departamento del barrio porteño de Palermo generó alarma entre los vecinos que comenzaron a mensajearse a través de grupos de WhatsApp compartiendo recomendaciones para cuidarse ante la aparición de esta clase de arácnido.
Un vecino encontró un alacrán en la cocina de su casa, ubicada sobre la calle Costa Rica al 5100, lo capturó en un frasco de mermelada y lo llevó al Instituto de Zoonosis Luis Pasteur, que días atrás pasó un informe con una serie de advertencias.

El alacrán hallado en Palermo es de la especie Tityus trivittatus, es la más peligrosa que se puede encontrar en el país. Es de color pardo, tienen tres líneas oscuras paralelas sobre el lomo y en la cola se ven dos aguijones
El Departamento de Prevención y Control de Zoonosis del Pateur informó que el alacrán es de “interés sanitario por su veneno toxicológico. La picadura de los alacranes de esta especie puede ser peligrosa sobre todo en ancianos, niños o personas con problemas de base de salud (hipertensos, caridopatìas, etc.) en los que la atención médica debe realizarse con mayor urgencia que en un adulto con buen estado de salud. El tamaño corporal del accidentado es importante en el envenenamiento siendo más sensibles aquellos de menor peso a igual dosis de veneno inoculada”.

Recomendaciones:
* Revisar y sacudir prendas de vestir y calzados.
* Sacudir la ropa de cama antes de acostarse o acostar un bebé o niño.
* Colocar la cama separada de la pared 10 cm.
* Tener precaución cuando se examinan cajones o estantes.
* Colocar frascos de vidrio o plástico en las patas de las camas para evitar que los alacranes trepen.
* Evitar caminar descalzo en zonas donde se conozca la presencia de alacranes.
Los alacranes están presentes en todo el país y entre diciembre y mayo es el período en que suele producirse la mayor aparición. Durante el verano y días de calor salen de sus áreas de resguardo: galerías subterráneas, sótanos, cañerías y túneles. NR
