Benedetti, quien se reconoce como sobreviviente de abuso sexual eclesiástico, está peleando para reabrir una de las tres causas en las que Giménez fue denunciado. Bajo el hashtag #PedofiliaSinPrescripción, Benedetti reclama «que el Congreso trate los proyectos de ley sobre imprescriptibilidad del abuso sexual infantil», entre los que destaca el de la diputada radical Lorena Matzen.
